Job Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
    • Build and standardize procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
    • Establish and lead professional training programs for the procurement team to improve skills and expertise.
  2. Supplier Management:

    • Oversee the global supply chain, maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers.
    • Assess and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.
  3. Order and Contract Management:

    • Supervise order processing and contract management to ensure timely delivery and compliance with agreed terms.
    • Resolve issues related to orders, contracts, and delivery delays promptly.
  4. Cost Control and Negotiation:

    • Manage procurement costs through effective negotiations and market analysis.
    • Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality and service.
  5. Inventory and Logistics Coordination:

    • Ensure appropriate inventory levels to meet operational demands.
    • Coordinate logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials and products.
  6. Risk and Compliance Management:

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to procurement and the supply chain.
    • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, laws, and industry standards in procurement operations.
  7. Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Monitor procurement metrics and analyze raw material price fluctuations.
    • Prepare and present detailed procurement reports to senior management to support decision-making.
  8. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with departments such as materials, R&D, sales, and finance to align procurement activities with organizational needs.
    • Ensure smooth communication and coordination between departments.
  9. System and Team Optimization:

    • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of internal systems and processes to increase team efficiency and performance.
    • Manage and support a team of 4-6 procurement professionals, ensuring effective team dynamics and professional development.

 

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
  • Experience in chemicals or chemical products procurement is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of international trade operations and procurement processes
  • Experience in managing or leading procurement teams
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software
  • Experience with supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost control
