BIOS Engineering onsite service in our client office

Job scope:

• Responsible for troubleshooting, debugging and validation for platform BIOS/UEFI
• Required to identify BIOS related issues encountered during testing and working with BIOS experts to root cause and resolve issue
• Responsible for providing input into BIOS specification and BIOS validation plans
• Work closely with cross-functional team including core team, Architect and Platform team, BIOS vendor and ODM to ensure timely BIOS delivery
• Own BIOS delivery for new and/or sustaining platforms
• Responsible for ensuring ODMs follow quality standards
• Responsible for performing BIOS releases and Softpaq
• Responsible for working BIOS issues with ODMs and driving ODMs to meet platform schedules
• Own the relationship between and the ODM for the BIOS for your assigned projects
• Responsible for tracking and updating the status of all BIOS related issues - Drive issues to resolution
• Work with BIOS architect and BIOS test team on a regular basis
• Implementation of test plans for BIOS and communicate these clearly to the ODM, to ensure BIOS quality
• Attend platform meetings by requests to drive quality improvement and consistent platform design to leverage
• Concurrently manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Open-minded for guidance from Architect and assist Architect for BIOS advanced feature studying
• IUR Allocation and Coordination

Requirement:

• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in the PC industry
• Experience working well with partners, internal and external
• Familiar to PC x86 system architecture
• PMP/PMI certification is a plus
