【About The Team】

The Payments team is a core function and critical enabler of the full power of Uber’s platform. Uber’s payment functions are central to the overall success of our entire organisation with operations in over 60 countries and multi-billion in annual payments. The high calibre Payments team remit spans across markets with a multi location team covering areas such as cost of core payments, alternative payment methods, stored value offerings and compliance. 

Uber Taiwan, a star market for Uber, offers payment services to Uber and fulfils two main roles in the payment process; 

  • Safeguards the funds drivers, delivery partners and restaurants earn on Uber platforms in Taiwan; and

  • Disburses the funds to drivers, delivery partners and restaurants earning on Uber platforms in Taiwan. 

Uber Taiwan will be looking to obtain its Electronic Payments Institution (EPI) licence via a new entity, Uber Payments Taiwan (UPT). You will join Uber as Program Management Associate reporting to the Head of Operations, supporting the set-up and implementation of Uber Payments Taiwan to comply with local and underlying regulations for EPIs.

【About the Role】
Reporting into the Head of Operations of Uber Payments Taiwan, this is a high-impact regulatory compliance and operational execution role aimed to build Uber’s licensed payments business by fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders (i.e. General Managers, Payments Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Fraud, Identity, Payments Operations) and external stakeholders including PSPs, banks, and regulators. A key aspect of the role includes socialising, tracking and executing payment initiatives aligning with the overall Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) framework for Taiwan and business models mapped to Uber’s global payment strategy. The contract will last for one year from November 2024 to November 2025.

【工作內容】
-Develop and operationalise various processes within Uber Payments Taiwan and Uber APAC to support the business in achieving objectives while ensuring overall compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Program manage the overall operationalisation of the GRC framework for Taiwan and emerging APAC markets and ensure alignment with regulatory obligations.
-Enhance and program manage the New Products and Features process to drive payments related product requirements to completion whilst ensuring post launch conditions are adequately tracked and communications are catered to various cross-functional stakeholders.
-Support implementation of the third party vendor risk management, fraud, service delivery, incident management, and key compliance operations processes with the 2nd Line (Compliance and Risk) for Uber Payments Taiwan and where required, the central and APAC stakeholders.



【Basic Qualifications】
-4+ years experience within banking, e-commerce and/or consulting in compliance and/or risk preferred.
-Strong critical thinking, organisational and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives and requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment whilst working with cross-functional stakeholders.
-Team oriented and collaborative.
-Must possess exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively at multiple levels and across disciplines in APAC and beyond.
-Impeccable written and verbal communications skills in English and Mandarin with the ability to translate, articulate and present highly technical and complex procedural recommendations, regulations, laws and policies to a variety of audiences.
-Strong change management skills, adept at working in an environment of shifting priorities, constant technological changes and increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.
