Responsibilities: 
•    System performance analysis -- ability to check and analyze thermal and power budget on Intel / AMD architectures in order to obtain maximum or optimized system performance. 
•    Develops and implements power and thermal parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including system performance validation, thermal generation, and system power measurements.
•    Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding system performance status, progress, improvement and issue resolution.
•    Works with other electrical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and optimized performance solutions for moderately-complex products.
•    Works with HWPM/power/thermal teams and vendors (Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, and others) in system performance improvement & debugging during development stage.
•    Represents the system performance team for all phases of larger and more- complex development projects.
•    Provides guidance and mentoring to other staff members.
•    Provides the comment to platform HWPM for system performance projection in POR.
•    Defines & maintains Consumer NB system performance design guide.
•    Publishes platform cycle system performance result.
•    Analysis gen-to-gen system performance comparison. 
•    Defines & reviews with SIT/QA team about performance test item and procedure.  
 
Knowledge and Skills: 
•    Knowledge of Intel DTT PL1/PL2/PL4 and AMD DPTC / STAPM power and thermal control.  
•    Knowledge of NVIDIA/AMD discrete graphic thermal protection and power state for performance tuning.  
•    Knowledge of CPU/GPU overclocking and gaming performance optimization.
•    Using Benchmark utilities and software packages to obtain system performance result.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Knowledge of electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms
•    Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
 
Education and Experience Required: 
•    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
•    Typically 3+ year experience in system HW design and system performance tuning preferred.
